The Company

Diversified Rehabilitation & Consulting (DRC) was founded by Sonya Mocarski in 1994 after having worked in the private rehabilitation sector for over ten years.  The company initially provided vocational and medical case management services to the insurance community throughout the Philadelphia Tri-State Area and across the State of Pennsylvania. Services were primarily associated with the worker’s compensation system, which consisted of helping the injured worker in obtaining medical treatment and in returning to employment. Specialized services were also offered in vocational rehabilitation to the legal and insurance communities on a smaller scale. As managed care took over the industry in the late nineties, small case management companies lost work to large managed care providers, which necessitated the need for alternate work and more specialized areas in which to practice. This was the case for DRC. While maintaining several case management accounts, the company expanded its specialized services to include counseling, consulting, and into the forensic arena for vocational rehabilitation, social security testimony, and life care planning.

As the company name would imply, Diversified Rehabilitation & Consulting has a diversity of services to offer. Up to the present, the company offers services to incorporate federal agencies (Social Security Administration), private pay clients and employers, while maintaining the client base in the legal and insurance communities. Since the late 1990's, Diversified has been operated almost single handedly by Sonya Mocarski.

The forensic-consulting areas in which DRC practices includes personal injury, matrimonial, employment, worker's compensation, long-term disability and social security.  The forensic consulting work is split between defense and plaintiff and has expanded to include the North East Region.  Case management services continue to be a business staple. Services are provided to the insurance community in the areas of worker's compensation and long-term disability for both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. For employers, vocational services are available to address prevailing wages, on-site job analysis for job descriptions, issues related to The American's with Disability Act (ADA) and development of “light duty” programs.  The Social Security Administration is provided impartial vocational services that assists in the disability application process of its claimants. Through the Department of Labor, vocational rehabilitation services are provided to Federal injured employees. Private vocational counseling and coaching services are available to both a disabled and non-disabled population .

The goal of DRC is to provide high quality services to all clients that are cost effective, ethical and most importantly, helpful!  DRC strives for excellence in the delivery of services to existing clients, while hoping to attract new and different clients. Sonya Mocarski continues to be the driving force behind Diversified Rehabilitation & Consulting, Incorporated.
